Main Reflection: baptism

Purpose: three in one baptism

• 1. John the Baptist came to earth for Jesus. Isaiah prophesied about a voice in the desert. That voice was John the Baptist.
• 2. How come we keep hearing that the kingdom is coming and yet it is still not here? In reality the kingdom already came when Jesus came to Israel. But to their shame they separated themselves from the kingdom because of their unbelief. They were not able to accept Jesus as a carpenter’s son.
• 3. Because of Israelites’ hardened heart, the salvation came to the Gentiles and thus God’s will and grace came to us. This is the reason Jesus rebuked Israelites that “the first will be last.”
• 4. Must have kingdom in your life: you must put the kingdom within you so that you will have the earthly and heavenly blessings.
• 5. God looks after all that is yours, even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So do not worry, for God must look after your future and all that is yours.
• 6. Man has two deaths: the first is the death of the flesh and the second the death of soul.
• 7. Jesus overcame death through resurrection: 1) to ransom us from the power of the Sheol 2) to redeem us from death
• 8. Sheol is the center of earth: so, you must love your parents and friends, and lead them to baptism and salvation because a soul in Sheol suffers forever.
• 9. Three in one baptism: baptism of water: confess and repent but cannot always confess and repent. Baptism of the Holy Spirit: to receive power not to sin again and the power to confess and take the path of tomorrow and to forgive others. The Holy Spirit and fire will baptize you: 1) the heaven was opened: when the heaven is opened for you, no one or thing can trouble you. 2) Voice from heaven is the path before you.
