where we come to the end of the trip…

學清短宣終於劃下最後一個休止符…

The last day of the Hualien VBS program came to an end quickly. The kids had their performance at 11, a few parents showed up and watched as the children sang Deep and Wide, It’s so Good and My Lord is Great. Afterwards we handed out their diplomas and prizes for the children. We headed back to our sleeping area afterwards and after a short rest the youth missionary team got dropped off on Zong San Road to wander and eat lunch together.

最後一天的花蓮兒童暑期營結束結束的非常快，11:00一些父母親來觀看小孩子們獻上唱歌表演包括 Deep and Wide, It’s so Good and my Lord is Great。之後我們將畢業證書以及禮物交給他們。之後，我們返回休息據點然後前往中山路吃午餐。

Cherry got dropped off by 1337 at the train station at around 2:00. We all hung out and watched Kung Fu Hustle with english translations provided for Split. Afterwards we went out for dinner with the Minister at Nobel’s Steak and Tea Family Restaurant. After eating dinner, the girls grabbed their luggage (Milk Tea, Banana, and Shorty) and got dropped off by Split and OT at the train station. Our leaving was teary eyed and sad as we wandered into the train station, just the three of us all alone.

We kept thinking about all the times our team had spent together and we spent the long 3 hour train ride talking and remembering, from our first unified trip at LAX to eating overpriced ramen at the Taipei airport, frantic prepping for our Malaysia program, the worst and first worship practice ever at Malaysia, where out of 6 singers, we had 3 different keys.Riding together on the metro through Taipei to go to Shi Men Ding, pushing OT into the Ocean, our 4 performances of our “If I were not a VBS teacher…” skit. Stopping at every clawmachine store throughout every city we went to, drinking more milk tea than anyone would think possible, treating 7-11 as our second home, counting our daily mosquito bites, sharing sunblock, realizing that we really can’t live without AC in Taiwan, having everyone trip at least once, sitting in on a real live band practice, playing UNO on top of a fish tank, having the guys hog the DS lite to play Cooking Mama. Milk Tea trying to learn guitar and canto and failing miserably. Heavy luggage everywhere we go, having the wheels break off of our luggage cases because of bad airport service, buying the BEST MILK TEA EVER at Hualien’s Tea Shop. Learning to ride the motorcycle with Split and laughing at OT repeated performances of pant ripping and much much more.

Being on this missionary trip has taught us a lot. We’ve learned to stand and speak about God, despite our fears and apprehension. We’ve learned to be brave and go out there despite the unknown. We’ve seen those that are stronger than us, smarter than us, more faithful, more wise, more energetic, and more spiritual. We’ve traveled to places where we thought we would fail, places where we were ready to give up. But through it all, we felt the spirit of God with us. Through every moment, we could feel God’s miracles, what we thought we could not do, we felt the hand of God, when we thought we were proud, we were humbled, when we felt weak, we were strengthened.

這趟短宣，讓我們學習到許多事物。我們懂得克服恐懼與憂慮，只為了傳講神的福音、話語。我們更賦有勇氣向陌生人傳講神的大能，即使他們比我們聰明、強壯、忠誠、有能量。雖然我們曾經歷失敗的邊緣，我們曾幾度要放棄，但是經歷了這一切，我們感覺神的聖靈永遠與我們同在。每一分每一秒，我們可以感覺奇妙神蹟。當我們沒有能力，神的手支持著我們，當我們驕傲，神教導我們謙虛的重要，當我們軟弱，神的大能堅固我們。

From Malaysia, we were humbled by their spirit, their desire, their energy. In Taipei, the help of their staff and preparations supported us. In Keelong, their laughter and smiles comforted us when Pastor could not be there. In Hualien, we learned to become stronger, be wiser, be more patient. And throughout this whole trip, we learned that what man can not do, God will make happen. In God, nothing is impossible. In God, we have accomplished the first youth missionary team. Thank the lord, for without his love and kindness, without his church, his pastors, his ministers, his staff, and his sheep, we would not be able to happy end this trip.

從馬來西亞，我們深受謙虛於他們愛神的靈、渴望、能量。在台北，當地幫助準備的工作人員給予我們最完善的後盾。基隆，雖然牧師並沒與我們同行，但兒童的笑容安撫我們煩亂的心。花蓮，我們學習到在神的道路上更加茁壯、有智慧、有耐心。在整趟旅行中，雖然人力看似不可能完成，但是神的大能讓這一些事發生了，在神沒有難成的事。在神保守中，我們完成了第一次青年短宣，感謝神不離棄祂的大愛與溫柔。如果沒有祂的教會、祂的牧師、祂的工作人員、祂的羊，我們將無法擁有如此快樂結局。

May the Lord bless every church, from Kuala Lumpur to Taipei to Keelong to Hualien to Tao Yuan to LA.

願神祝福全世界每一個分會，馬來西亞、台北、基隆、花蓮、洛杉磯。
